This is an awesome back companion! With only a few flaws (more sizing and preference), you really can't beat the price. It has excellent storage space and is one of the more diverse packs out there. It's lightweight and above all else, waterproof. This is a quality I quickly discovered was absolutely necessary out of a hiking backpack. Check out the overall review, but if you're looking for an awesome starter backpack, this is the one for you.

Size to fit: 6/10

Durability: 7/10

Weight Disbursement: 9/10

Water Resistance: 10/10

Comfort: 7/10

Capacity: 7/10

Overall: 7/10

Pros: Affordability. You get a lot of bang for your buck on this one. With awesome weight disbursement, you could walk for hours without feeling anything. The water-resistant features make this pack worth it. I've had more expensive hiking packs, and most have let me down in this department. Finally, it does have a water pouch attachment for the hose which you don't always see on packs at this price.

Cons: If you are a bit on the shorter side (I'd say 65in or less), I would recommend you check out one of the other backpacks. My wife tried this one and the straps are not really designed for those with shorter frames. Also, while this pack boasts a 40L capacity, I would have preferred a few more easily accessible pockets for items I used more often. While it does have a water pack feature, there is not a dedicated compartment, so it takes up some space for other potential items.

If you're just getting started in hiking/camping, or you don't want to pay a cool $150 for more bells and whistles, this thing is fantastic!
